Siem Reap Rice Donation 2024
Rice Donation
for 300 Needy Families

Through the rice donation project in December 2023, we were deeply hit by the pressing needs of the people suffering from extreme poverty. Thus, on May 27th, 2024, five members of Saving Lives went to Siem Reap for the second time. With the assistance of the Abbot of the PRASAT KOKCHORK TEMPLE, Hem Kimsan, who liaised with the local government, we managed to reach out to 300 of the most impoverished families.
Preparing for the event
We welcomed the 300 families in the early morning, including parents and children.
The chairman of Saving Lives, Mr. Goh Tung Heng, and spokesman, Ms. Liang Ping, made speeches.
The Provincial Governor and the Duke of Cambodia were also present. They encouraged the villagers and expressed their gratitude for our donation.

Families brimmed with gratitude as they collected the food supplies. This event warmed our hearts while we learned more about the locals' grappling needs.
Everyone happily made their way home with the food supplies.
The local news also reported this event.
The success of this event is possible only through the selfless contributions of every volunteer and every charitable donor. It is through consistent and continual effort that we are able to provide substantial help, passing on hope and love.
Saving Lives shall continue to focus on understanding the areas of need and elevating our level of assistance, to bring warmth and support to the impoverished.
