Rice Donation
2024

Thabarwa Nature Center, Shwe Gu Monastery Orphanage, No. 4 Panitar Yone Monastery

March 2024

As March 2024 approached, the restrictions of the pandemic has gradually lifted. However, for various reasons, the people of Myanmar still find themselves in dire circumstances. From Singapore, people are closely monitoring the needs of those in Myanmar who require assistance. They have once again donated 50 bags of rice to the Thabarwa Nature Centre, contributed by:

  1. Ms. Liu Linjing and family - 25 bags

  2. Enzo Bok Zhe Yi and family - 25 bags

August 2024

In addition to the Thabarwa Nature Center, the Shwe Gu Monastery Orphanage is also suffering from hunger. Saving Lives, adhering to the spirit of care and assistance, donated 50 bags of rice to the orphanage in August 2024. The innocent smiles of the children brought us immense satisfaction and relief.

September 2024

In September 2024, Myanmar was hit by severe flooding. The food supply to the Thabarwa Nature Center was disrupted due to the flooding. At this critical moment, Saving Lives responded quickly and donated 100 bags of rice to the Thabarwa Nature Center on September 23, providing the most necessary food resources for the elderly, the weak, the sick and the disabled.

It is heartbreaking to see the elderly, sick and weak face food shortages due to the floods. This timely donation solved the urgent problem of food shortage. We hope that these 100 bales of rice will not only satisfy their material needs but also give them hope and courage to know that they are not alone in this difficult time.

This operation demonstrates the continued care and support from Saving Lives for the vulnerable groups in the society. Our goal is not only to address immediate needs, but also to help the affected communities return to normal in the long run.

We firmly believe that through collective efforts, we can help more people tide over difficult times.
