Sanctuary without
discrimination and limitation
for the Old, Weak, Sick and Disabled.
As of Februrary 2020, the Thabarwa Nature Centre provides sanctuary for over 2,400 yogis, including the aged, sick, infirm, blind, deaf, homeless, helpless, and the physically or mentally disabled.
Pre-covid, the daily consumption was 13 bags of rice daily. Whenever there is a shortage, porridge is served.
Volunteers, comprise of locals and backpackers who stayed at the sanctuary, provide hygiene, mobility assistance, and food preparation and distribution to the sanctuary.
The sanctuary resembles a concentration camp, every bed is someone's "home".
In December 2019, our volunteers first arrived at the sanctuary, understood their situation and brought a contribution of 100 bags of rice in good faith.
